Trevor was missing since mid-June.
He was supposedly rescued, from his captors. However, his rescuers stopped communicating with us, and reporting on his health and status. This grew suspicious, if not outright malevolent. We suspected the worst. Months dragged by, and all seemed hopeless. We hesitated to call law enforcement for help, do to a tip about some dodgy characters mixed up among the “good guys.” One gnome (who is remaining anonymous) revealed he “fell down” a number of times at the local station, after he was mistakenly arrested for drunken tricycle riding, and then wouldn’t confess to knowing Brittany Spears.
Then today, loyalists seized on an opportunity to put a squeeze on a “person of interest” associated with the crime. Within 5 hours, Trevor was returned, but the “person of interest” would not cooperate in revealing details of Trevor’s tormentors.

Trevor finally home-meets Woodbrim and Nigel. Celebration ensues
Trevor is dirty, and relieved to be home. He seems in fairly good health, but mutters quite a bit, and is smoking his pipe with long sighs. He keeps saying something about a clean cut bugger with a knight stick.
We will keep you posted, and when Trevor begins to travel, or endorse products he enjoys, (send us your ideas) and we’ll post details and photographs.
Thank you to all who have been loyal to our cause, and have thinking of good old Trevor.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted.
Things have been dreary. Our “friends” mislead us to believe they were rescuers, have KEPT Trevor, and held him to forced labor. After what’s been months of captivity, and unkind treatment, we’ve been nearly hopeless to get him back.
We are reporting today, that a valuable item, from a “person of interest” was obtained, and is held in a secure facility by a Trevor loyalist. An agreement to trade this item for Trevor’s return has had 1 preliminary meeting. It was only mildly optimistic. We await this to unfold, and we will keep you posted.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Our gnome committee for Unidentified & Suspicious Gnome Sightings brought this case, a very odd and disturbing case caught on video, from South America, before its caucus just yesterday. The meeting, as usual, degenerated into bickering and contrasting opinions. A slight majority thought it was in fact a true gnome, though likely an ill one, perhaps with a case of Mad Gnomes’ Disease (an off-shoot of Mad Cows’ Disease) or perhaps he/she was rabid.
The segment of gnomes that is more typically given to conspiracy theories, and bitterness, (to be honest, due to previous poor interactions with humankind) felt sure this was a purposeful ploy to damage the solid, good reputation gnomes have started to engender worldwide since the early 1990s. To put it simply: A smear campaign. They cited the nonsensical use of barking as a tell tale sign of illegitimacy and hoax. They thought the most likely culprit was a human mastermind paid off a short human to act like a crazed gnome to put fear into the human population for reason that best suits human purposes, such as power, exploitation, and greed.
Yet another segment of the caucus-a minority, largely ignored by the most vocal factions-determined the footage is an injured dog in a party hat.
A final segment of the caucus, in highly typical fashion, fell asleep after a hour of heated debated, and likely after a bit too much ale.
Further investigation by the caucus is likely, and they are happy to entertain suggestions from the public, both gnomes outside their group, and “tallies” (humankind).

Nigel is thoughtful, witty and reserved
Welcome Nigel Waterfield, everyone! Nigel has been nominated our poet laureate, and already created a working study in a corner of our place. He loves to read, smoke his pipe, take care of indoor plants, take long baths, nap, bake bread, drink cider, and be a fly on the wall. He entertains us with many stories, and his amusing commentaries of the sights he takes in from his creative vantage point. Witty, reserved, and wise, Nigel is a wonderful addition to our growing group. He is just about pocket-sized, and will be easy to take on trip–no carrier needed! He doesn’t quite have the completely fearless sense of adventure Trevor had while here, but is merry enough about accompanying us many places, though it could be just to look out for us, more than anything.
(Trevor has not been returned to us, and we continue to hold out for a full recovery for him, and quick reunion.)
Stay tuned for Nigel’s upcoming tales and adventures, featured here shortly. Nigel is already on Twitter @NigelTheGnome -so go and follow him! He’s a riot.

Our superintendent messaged Trevor’s rescuers, and they responded with this interesting update on Trevor (below), which revealed some information about the rescue , and his current condition.
Trevor is recovering just fine. We had found him in quite a state of dissary. He couldn’t remember anything about the abduction or even his name. It looks as though the hostage takers were feeding him, but not as much as a gnome should be eating. When he stood up, his pants fell down!
The rescue itself had gone off without a hitch. We were informed by an annonymous source about a possible gnome in trouble……and we responded in full force. We decided that nightfall would be the best time for a rescue. A helicopter was used so that we could use thermal imaging to find an exact location. Once it was established, we waited. The hostage takers had gone out for a bit so we made our move.
It was quite an adventure and an adrenaline rush for everyone involved. Trevor said that he wants to take a little time to himself for a couple days and hopes to be reunited with his family very shortly.
We’re just glad that we could be of service to a people that go unrecognized by most everyday.
Sincerely,
Gnome Rescuers
(Pictured above is an older photo of Trevor relaxing. We have requested up-t0-date photos from his current caretakers, and hope to post them soon.)

Apparently in a daring helicopter rescue, heroes have rescued Trevor! We have no details accept that Trevor has what could be post-traumatic shock symptoms. His rescuers opened a facebook account called “Trevor’s Rescuers” and requested facebook friendship with me (Lisa-head cicerone). These photos you see here were available there. They said he had trust issues with them at first, as they tried to aid him. (This is quite typical of subjects who’ve undergone kidnapping, detainment, and hostage situations.)

The rescuers seem to be keeping their identities private, and their location a mystery. This is perhaps due to the nature of their profession. As they free gnomes worldwide, it seems logical that they could do their work best under the guise of anonymity.
Being familiar with this type of field, we feel confident they are professionals apt to caring for Trevor in the most humane way, and tending to his psychological needs, through counseling and medication. (If you read this Rescuers, bear in mind to NOT let him drink too much. He will tend to self-medicate!)
We hope to have him back soon, as we have a Poconos trip and camping trip planned. We have beefed up security since the “happening,” as the gnomes have taken to calling Trevor’s unsettling disappearance.
Three Cheers for Gnome Friends!
Three Cheers for Trevor! YOU DID IT, BUDDY!
Three Cheers for Gnome-kind!
All our prayers have been answered.
(I need a nap.)
If anyone has details, or witnessed the rescue, leave comments! We’d love to hear what happened!

Fans send words of hope and love.
Thank you everyone for supporting Trevor, and all of us, during this time. Yes, evil is real, but goodness will prevail.
Even though Trevor is courageously suffering at the hands of heinous miscreants, his endurance is not in vain. He is a beacon of hope for all of us. Trevor stands for the carefree spirit of fun and vitality we should all have as we approach life. Though some take great pains to keep him captive, and away from those who love him, they do not have the victory. His invincible spirit is with us continually. The memories we’ve made with Trevor, and the impact he’s had on our lives, continues to endure. It continues to strengthen us during this time of trial and separation. It’s obvious now, just how much he means to so many of you, too!
Like you, we hope Trevor comes home soon. Thank you all for the well wishes, cards, letters, and financial contributions in his honor to worthy causes. It means a great deal to us to see just how much Trevor has impacted his corner of the world, and the world, at large. Really, it’s a lesson for us all.

This morning we found another photo of Trevor left by his terrorist abductors. We have decided that it is far too graphic to post, as we often have young viewers who visit our site, and love Trevor. (They would be jarred to see this torture image.) No note was left, so their behavior remains a mystery to us. (To be honest, this region is full of weirdos.)
The good news is that Trevor is hanging on to life.
Thankfully, we have 2 excellent contacts in the FBI, and are consulting with them. Due to some information we’ve gathered, we are leery to deal with local law enforcement at this time, and are postponing an Amber alert. Other means, and technology are being utilized to apprehend the perpetrators, and justice will be served in the end. Agent “Frank” told us he understands his role as an agent of God’s wrath when it comes to vindicating abuse of gnome creatures. We’re glad to have him, and his associate on our side.
More to come soon to this fast breaking matter.
Also, we never got to post the trip to the farm with Trevor, from May. We’ll try to get that up soon. What a fun time. He even got licked by a cow.
Thanks for stopping by!
